Those who utilize fear as a means of social control also run the risk of their own destruction; again, referring to the I Ching, "if a man has to obtain a following by force or cunning, by conspiracy or by creating factions, he invariably arouses resistance which obstructs willing adherence." When the Bush administration burns itself out, we need to be there ready to advance. WE can do this by means of operationalizing the simple principle previously stated. The Progressive movement which is largely self-divided by committment to each groups own issues must overcome this liability and start working on unification. Deploy the principle of Joy at the grassroots level--start partying! Seriously, coming together on the basis of food, music and dance transcends all issues and divisions. JOYOUSNESS can fasciltate alliances among issue-based groups and create grassroots political power. We need to be united horizontally (heh heh) not vertically.
